What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

The first edition copy of The Earthly Paradise, by well-known novelist C.S. Forester. In the publisher's original red cloth.

This novel follows the story of Christopher Columbus and his third voyage to America, told by the point of view of Don Narciso Rich, a 15th century liberal in a New World. That voyage was said to be the most disastrous for Columbus, who was sent back to Spain still in chains after being captured.

This is a tale not only of history, but also of greed, ambition, thirst and jealousy.

With unclipped dustwrapper.
