Eugen Kolisko was an Austrian-German physician, known for his pioneering work in anthroposophy, spiritual movement in the twentieth century based on the belief in the existence of an objective and comprehensive spiritual world, accessible to all human experience. In this volume, Kolisko discusses some spiritual notions in depth, including reincarnation and its Western conception, the relationship between body and mind, Darwinism, the cycles of life, and English psychology.
The undated first edition, first impression of this work issued by King, Littlewood & King, a scarce copy in the original, rare dust wrapper, unclipped. Illustrated with a frontispiece portrait of the author in black and white.
Condition
In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally generally sound with shelf wear and minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Considerable damp marking to the boards and spine. The dust wrapper is unclipped and excellent, with minor shelf wear only and minor chipping to the head and tail of the spine. Bookplate to the front free endpaper. Alice Aleddon. Internally, firmly bound. Light spotting to the fore edge, affecting only the first and last few leaves slightly, otherwise the pages are bright and clean throughout. Illustrated with a black and white frontispiece portrait of the author.
