What Our Customers Say...
Description
Publishers' Original Binding
This work was released as a piece of propaganda for Macmillan Publishers, and explores the effect of war and Forster's opinions on the matter, opening with the lines, 'This pamphlet is propaganda. I believe that if the Nazis won they would destroy our civilisation. I want to say why I think this. I want to persuade others to think as I do.'
Written by E. M. Forster (1879-1970) an English essayist and writer whose most important novels include 'A Room with a View' and 'A Passage to India'. During the 1930s and 1940s, he was a broadcaster on BBC Radio. He received sixteen nominations for the Nobel Prize in Literature.
