The autobiography of John Farleigh, an important wood engraver of the twentieth century, best known for his illustrations for 'The Adventures of a Black Girl in Her Search for God' and 'The Man Who Died'.

Farleigh also uses this volume as a textbook for wood engraving.
 
With vignette and full page illustrations and images throughout.

With a former owner's inscription dated 1946 to the head of the front free endpaper.

Condition

In the publisher's original pictorial paper covered boards, with price clipped dust wrapper. A touch of rubbing to back strip tail, otherwise externally fine. Inscription to front free endpaper. Dust wrapper back strip age toned, with wraps bright. Loss of paper to dust wrapper back strip head. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
