This fourth impression was printed three years after the first impression.

Poirot is summoned by an elderly woman when she thinks her life is being threatened by her family. However, by the time Poirot arrives, the woman has already died, supposedly of natural causes...Along the way, Poirot is helped by his sidekicks Hastings, and a fox terrier named Bob.

Agatha Christie is one of the most prolific and successful detective writers of her time, writing sixty-six detective novels in total. She is best known for her protagonists Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple.

Four pages of adverts to the rear.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Fading to the spine. A few light spots. Former owner's inscription to the recto of front endpaper, 'Keith V Arrowsmith Read London Dec 1985'. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Scattered spots to the first and last few pages. Occasional light spots to the fore-edge.
