Graham Greene (1904-1991) was one of the leading novelists of the 20th century. This is his account of his 1938 trip to Mexico, which also inspired his novel The Power and the Glory. His primary aim for the trip was to understand the experiences of the Mexican people, who were uprising against the government's anti-clerical purges and forced anti-Catholic secularization.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally generally smart, with darkening to the spine and extremities, and small losses to the cloth to the head and tail of the spine. Label of Boots Booklovers Library to the front board, with ink crossing out. Ink mark to the bottom edge of the textblock. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with the odd spot.
