The vanishingly scarce first edition, first impression of this work.

Arranged in thirty-three chapters and three books, Davey presents an unusual and fantastical novel.

Davey authored novels with science fiction and fantasy elements in the first half of the twentieth century, with titles including 'The Pilgrim of a Smile' and 'Babylon and Daylight'.

Rebound, with endpapers renewed. Retaining the original half title. With Wandsworth Public Library stamps to the recto and verso of title page, and two further leaves.

Condition

Rebound in cloth. Externally, fine. Endpapers renewed. Ink inscription to head of front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Library stamp to title page head, and verso of title page. With a further stamp to the first page of chapter 1, and to the final leaf. Pages otherwise clean and bright.
