The first edition, first impression of this work.

Containing a series of letters written before the outbreak of the Second World War between 1936 and 1939. In them, Churchill discusses British Foreign Policy and Defence and warns the country against the threat of Nazi Germany. 

Complete with two maps, of which one folding.

Condition

In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear only, lightly bumped to head and tail of spine and extremities. Hinges slightly strained, holding firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
