A scarce edition with only ten copies held in libraries.
Illustrated with one colour plate, ninety five photographs and illustrations on monochrome plates, and three monochrome maps. Collated, complete.
Marco Pallis was a British-Greek author and mountaineer. He wrote many works on Tibetan culture and religion.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The hinges are slightly strained but firm. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot.
