The first edition of this work. An uncommon volume held institutionally in six libraries only including the British Library among others.

Containing a selection of humorous pieces from the column 'By the Way' in the Daily Express, first published under pseudonym 'Beachcomber'. Written by well-known English humourist John Cameron Andrieu Bingham Michael Morton. 

With a humorous allusion on title page to index and illustrations by 'Hand' as the book contains neither.

Condition

In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally smart with minor shelf wear only, bumped to head and tail of spine and extremities, light spotting to boards and spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
