This is a lovely horticultural guide to the types of wildflowers that are native to Greece. This work provides the Latin classification of each flower, as well as their modern Greek names.
Contents include a foreword by Sir Sydney Waterlow, a note by Ismene Dixon, an editor's preface, with notes and comments on the wild flowers of Attica. The work begins with 'Clematis Cirrhosa L.', and ends with 'Arisarum Vulgare'.
Published posthumously after Atchley's death, and was prepared for publication by William Bertram Turrill, an English botanist. Turrill was responsible for the mathematical classification of leaf shapes, and received the Order of the British Empire in 1955.
