What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Folding Maps, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
The letters written by T. E. Lawrence from his youth until his death, detailing his life, experiences and development. This collection is considered to be the most complete and comprehensive of the letters of T.E. Lawrence.
T.E. Lawrence was a British archaeologist, army officer, diplomat and writer, mostly known for his role in the Arab Revolt (1916-18) and the Sinai Palestine Campaign (1915-1918) against the Ottoman Empire. He was very significant in the development of strategies as well as the liaison with British army forces. This work covers Lawrence's whole career, from when he was a boy with an interest for archaeology, until his death in 1935, in his own words through letters and previously unpublished documents and reports.
