Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

This work is the first in the Cheri-Bibi series by Gaston Leroux, featuring a butcher-boy falsely convicted of a crime and sent to prison, where he becomes a fearsome leader.

Gaston Leroux (1868-1927) was a French detective writer, best known for his work 'The Phantom of the Opera', later adapted into a musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Condition

In the publisher's original full cloth binding, with an unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart, slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine only. Dust wrapper has been excellently preserved. Internally firmly bound, pages are bright and clean with only slight age-toning.
