What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

The first cheap edition of this work, the second edition overall.

Fortune's guide to 'Sane Occultism' was first published in 1929. It is arranged in nineteen chapters, covering topics including 'credulity in occult research', 'numerology and prophecy', 'secrecy in occult fraternities', 'psychic pathologies', 'authority and obedience in occultism', and 'secrecy in occult fraternities'.

Dion Fortune was the co-founder of the Fraternity of the Inner Light, an occult organisation that promoted philosophies which she claimed had been taught to her by spiritual entities known as the 'Ascended Masters'. She is recognised as one of the most significant occultists and ceremonial magicians of the early twentieth century.
