A first edition copy of East Africa and Its Invaders From the Earliest Times to the Death of Seyyid Said In 1856 by Reginal Coupland. 

This volume is an interesting history of East Africa, from the Portuguese Conquest, and considering the history of Britain and the slave trade, and Seyyid Said. 

With two folding maps to the rear.
Collated, complete.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. Externally, smart with some light rubbing to the front joint and bumping to the head and tail of the spine and light fading to the spine. Front hinge is starting and generally remains firm. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
