The first edition.

An important work by Paul Brunton, in which he advises the reader on how to achieve serenity of the mind, an interesting work on philosophy and spiritualism. 

Paul Brunton is the pen-name used by Raphael Hurst, a noted author of spiritual works. He was one of the early popularised of Neo-Hindu spiritualism in Western Esotericism. 

Undated, dated from Jisc from a copy held at the British Library.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, with a few light marks to the boards and spine, heavier to the tail of the front board. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Spine is a little faded. A few scattered spots to the for edge. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with a few scattered spots to the first and last few pages.
