The first Pelican edition. This work was first published in 1932. 

A collection of essays by the early twentieth century British-Indian scientist of physiology, genetics, and evolutionary biology. 

In this work, Haldane discusses topics such as 'Possibilities of Human Evolution' and 'The Origin of Life'. 

Haldane was best known for codifying Haldane's Rule and being one of the founders of Neo-Darwinism.

With the original paper wraps bound in.

Condition

Rebound in half calf with marbled boards. Externally, very smart. There is some slight rubbing to the spine and slight bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with some light age toning.
