An adventure novel set on the Northwest Frontier of British India where evil Prince Guhl plans to wipe out the British troops as they enjoy his hospitality. Only the young Prince Azim can warn them of this plan by tapping a message on his drum. Written by Alfred Edward Woodley Mason, an English author and politician. Illustrated by Joseph Simpson, a British painter and etcher.
Condition
In the original red cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities. Minor wear to the joints. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also smart with light shelf wear and the odd small closed tear to the extremities. Light sunning to the spine and spotting to the panels. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with minor age toning to the endpapers.
