Signed by the publisher to the recto to the front endpaper. 'Sporting Adventure' is a work on the sport of hunting birds, written by a man with a great passion for the sport. The work is divided by each month, describing the birds and nature of each month. Written by James Wentworth Day. Day was a British writer who wrote a number of books on various subjects, including farming, history, and ghost hunting. Illustrated with a frontispiece, twelve plates, and numerous line-drawings by 'Fish-Hawk'.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. A little bumping to the head and tail of the spine. A very little marking to the boards. Publisher's ink inscription to the recto to the front endpaper. The odd light spot to the fore edge. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
