First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding

The first U.S. edition of this work, published in the U.K. as 'Dumb Witness'.

Poirot is summoned by an elderly woman when she thinks her live is being threatened by her family. However, by the time Poirot arrives, the woman has already died, supposedly of natural causes...Along the way, Poirot is helped by his sidekicks Hastings, and a fox terrier named Bob.

Agatha Christie is one of the most prolific and successful detective writers of her time, writing sixty-six detective novels in total. She is best known for her protagonists Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple.

Last leaf contains an advert for another of Christie's novels.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Spine and joints are a little faded. Minor bumping to the spine. A few light marks to the boards. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto to the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
