First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

First edition. Alfred Damon Runyon (October 4, 1880 – December 10, 1946) was an American newspaperman and writer. He was best known for his short stories celebrating the world of Broadway in New York City that grew out of the Prohibition era. The musical Guys and Dolls was based on two Runyon stories, "The Idyll of Miss Sarah Brown" and, included in this collection, "Blood Pressure". With ten charming black and white illustrations.

Condition

In a cloth binding and original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, very smart. Light bumping to head and tail of spine only. Mark to head of textblock. Dustwrapper has slight fading and chipping. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
