From author Edward Charles Keith and illustrator John Cyril Harrison, this is no. 96 of 175 copies printed, signed by both the author and the artist to the limitation page.
With twelve mounted colour plates and twelve mounted pencil plates by J.C. Harrison, a neighbour of the author. With each colour plate retaining the original captioned tissue guard. Collated, complete.
A beautifully illustrated practical guide to the shooting of partridge, pheasant, wildfowl and lesser game, with the author explaining that 'if there is a moral in the book, it is that the sport of shooting consists of much more than the mere killing of birds, and in this view I am confident that I shall receive substantial agreement'.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding, with price unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, fine. Significant spotting to dust wrapper, most concentrated to head of front wrap. Marks to tail of front wrap. Discolouration to back strip. Slight chipping to back strip head and tail. Small loss to tail of front wrap, with a small number of minor closed tears to head of front and rear wrap. Three instances of clear tape reinforcement to head of dust wrapper reverse. Internally, firmly bound. Signed and numbered to limitation page.
