What Our Customers Say...

Description

Colour Plates, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

The October 1937 issue of the American monthly periodical 'Advertising Agency'. This being Volume 2, Number 1 of the work.

With a yearly subscription in 1937 costing $15, this work was available via subscription only, and is now very scarce in any issue.

The publisher's explain 'Advertising Agency is a reflection of advertising - the better your advertising the better our publication' going on to address readers - assumed to be advertisers themselves - with 'you initiate those advertising campaigns that make people stop, look and read'.

Illustrated throughout in full colour, with a tipped in order form for the 1937 edition of 'The Directory of New York State Manufacturers', two blank subscription forms for the magazine, and to the recto of the rear wrap, a loosely inserted Macyscope viewer. These 3D glasses are for use on pages 49, 50 and 51.

With a double page full colour spread of the National Safety Council's promotional work about household accidents, and further colour advertisements for Ethyl brand gasoline, the Walker Engraving Corporation, and the Keeney Publishing Company, among others/

Edited by William E. Dietz and Stanley Chipman, the art director of this issue was Budd Hemmick.

A fascinating insight into late 1930s advertising in America.
