'Picture Show' was a weekly film magazine, published from 1919 to 1960. It was the essential magazine for any film lover, showcasing the popular releases of the time. These annuals provide a round-up of the most popular films of the year, including details on their premieres and who attended, and articles on the leading figures of the day, with many illustrations showing the actors and actresses.

Each annual with decorative paper covered boards, the front board of each depicting a film still.

Condition

In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding with pictorial paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart. Light rubbing to the boards. Spines are a touch faded with some spotting, spots heavier to 1937, 1950, 1951, and 1958. Minor marks to the boards. Small amount of label residue to the tail of the spine of 1937. Hinges of 1937 are starting but firm. Rear hinge of 1957 and 1960 are starting but firm. Prior owner's ink inscription to the front paste downs. Evidence of a label being formerly adhered to the recto to the front endpaper of 1956. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned, heavier to 1937, and generally clean with some spots.
