What Our Customers Say...

Description

Early Edition, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding

The eighth impression. First published in January 1934. The Nine Tailors is the ninth novel to feature Lord Peter Wimsey and is set in the Lincolnshire Fens, with the story concerning a group of bell-ringers at the local parish church. Widely considered her best work, Sayers can perhaps be forgiven for the minor criticism regarding her inaccurate campanology details. Sayers was a prolific author of crime fiction during the Golden Age of Detective Fiction, and one of the 'Queens of Crime', alongside notable others such as Agatha Christie and Ngaio Marsh. A smart copy of Sayers' finest literary achievement.

Condition

In the original red cloth binding. Externally generally smart with rubbing to the extremities causing some loss to the cloth. Fading to the spine. The occasional mark to the boards. Bookseller label to front pastedown. Internally firmly bound. Pages generally bright with scattered spotting and age toning due to paper used.
