What Our Customers Say...
Description
With the designs of Oliver Messel (1904-1978), an important stage designer. The grandson of Punch magazine illustrator Linley Sambourne, Messel designed sets, costumes and masks for Broadway and the West End, with his works including for 'Scarlet Pimpernel', 'Caesar and Cleopatra', 'Gigi', and of course, 'Romeo and Juliet'.
These designs were reproduced from the original designs for the Metro-Goldwyn-Meyer production made in Hollywood in 1936, starring Norma Shearer and Leslie Howard.
