A selection of the works of Robert Burns, with biographical notes throughout expanding upon his Romantic poetry.

Illustrated with a frontispiece, and seventeen plates.

Burns, also familiarly known as Rabbie Burns, was Scotland's National Bard, a Romantic poet active during the eighteenth century.

His poetry was often written in the Scots language, bringing the dialect to a wider audience outside of the country.

Undated, dated from Jisc from a copy held at the University of Oxford Libraries.

Prior owner's ink inscription to the verso to the front endpaper.

Condition

In the original publisher's tartan cloth binding. Externally, smart. Marks to the boards, mostly to the front board. Spine is a little faded. Prior owner's ink inscription to the verso to the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
