A bright half morocco signed binding from Bumpus, with the title 'Motor Boat Expenses 1936', in gilt to the spine.
Internally, the first seven leaves bear the hand written log of a contemporary owner.
With entries dated from between February and September 1946, and details of journeys such as Teddington to Greenwich, Dover to Newhaven and Yarmouth to Poole, this is a fascinating account of the journey's undertaken in a motorboat throughout England in the summer of 1946.
The remaining pages - over three-hundred - are left blank for further journey logs, and feature blank fields including date, temperature, barometer, gallons used, and gallons put in.
Condition
In a signed half morocco binding, with cloth covered boards. Light fading to back strip, with rubbing to fore edge of boards resulting in minor losses to the leather. Internally, firmly bound. Contemporary owner's inscriptions to first seven leaves, with remaining leaves clean and bright.
