What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding

The first edition, fourth printing, being the second printing from July 1936.

One of the best-selling American novels ever written, 'Gone With the Wind' is a romantic drama set in the midst of the American Civil War, following the spoilt plantation heiress Scarlett O'Hara.

In 1939 this novel was adapted into an Academy Award winning film starring Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable; this film is considered to be one of the greatest ever made.

This was the only novel the author, Margaret Mitchell, published during her lifetime. She began writing it in 1926, following an injury from a car crash.
