This work is in the original French. With sixteen charming coloured plates by the renowned French artist, illustrator of books and magazines and comic book writer Rene Giffey. Giffey is commonly cited as one of the most prolific artists of the first half of the twentieth century, as well as a prolific author of a vast range of works in his fifty-year career. In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding, picturing Don Quixote's humourous attack on a windmill that he believes to be ferocious giants. Condition
In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding. Externally very smart with minor shelfwear to extremities. Slight bumping to head and tail of spine and slight creasing to spine. The odd light mark to boards. Internally generally firmly bound, with plate facing page 8 detached but present and plate facing page 58 partially detached to gutter. Pages very bright and clean throughout.
