First edition. Illustrated with twelve colour plates. Collated complete. This work was the sequel to 'Hunting Countries', covering twelve hunts. Containing writings on the Belvoir, the Essex Union, the Grafton, the Old Surrey and Burstow, the Zetland, the Cattistock and the Earl of Berkeley's, amongst others Illustrated by Frank Algernon Stewart, a painter best known for his hunting scenes who worked for the Illustrated London News during the war, and was a keen hunter in his spare time. With text contributions from various writers, including A. Henry Higginson, Diana Turner, B. R. Asplin, Joan Robeson, the Hon. Ruth Dawnay and the Rev. R. F. Drury.
Condition
In the original black cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light rubbing to the extremities. Minor fading to the spine with the odd small mark to the cloth. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd small spot. Light scattered spotting to the endpapers.
