This work was the sequel to 'Hunting Countries', covering twelve hunts.
Containing writings on the Belvoir, the Essex Union, the Grafton, the Old Surrey and Burstow, the Zetland, the Cattistock and the Earl of Berkeley's, amongst others.
Illustrated by Frank Algernon Stewart, a painter best known for his hunting scenes. He worked for the Illustrated London News during the war, and was a keen hunter in his spare time.
With contents writen by A. Henry Higginson, Diana Turner, B. R. Asplin, Joan Robeson, the Hon. Ruth Dawnay and the Rev. R. F. Drury, to name a few.
Illustrated with twelve colour plates.
A first edition, complete with its pictorial dust wrapper, which is clipped not affecting the price.
Condition
In the publisher's original full cloth binding with a clipped dust wrapper. Externally generally smart, with a little fading to the head and tail of the spine. Extremities are a touch bumped. Dust wrapper is rather worn, with loss to the tail of the spine and board as well as to the head of the spine and the corners of the flyleaves; however, it is structurally sound, with loss not affecting the pictorial cover. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Some pen marks to the bottom edge of the text block.
