Bound by Harchards Ltd, 187 Piccadilly. With the binder's stamp to the verso of front pastedown. 

This is one of 200 large paper copies printed in July 1936. Signed by the author. 

Originally intending to be a clergyman in the footsteps of his father, Walpole was later encouraged to write by Henry James and Arnold Bennett, and became a hugely successful author during the 1920s and 1930s, but has been largely neglected since his death

In a full crushed morocco binding. Externally, fine. Light shelfwear to the joints and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with just the odd spot.
