Previous owner's label to the front free end paper of Thomas Pitt Cholmondeley Tapper (1910-2001), a well-known amateur racing driver in the 1930s, who was acquainted with notable people such as Roger Bushell, Eileen Ellison and Winston Churchill.
A detailed exploration of Abyssinia, with information on the culture, religion and customs of the people there, and the history, government and industrial development of the country, as well as information on trekking. C. F. Rey has based his observations on his travels within Abyssinia.

Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, with marks to the boards and spine, and a small tear to the head of the rear joint. Shelf wear to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with the odd spot, including to the fore edge.
