Colonel Thomas Edward Lawrence (1888-1935) was a British army officer, diplomat and archaeologist renowned for the role he played during the Arab Revolt (1916-1918). The scope of his work and his writings inspired the nickname 'Lawrence of Arabia'. This was his best known work, and was adapted into the film 'Lawrence of Arabia' in 1962.
This is a first edition for general circulation, first impression.
Profusely illustrated throughout with full plates, and with four maps.

In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally lovely, minor shelf wear only. Internally firmly bound, pages are bright and clean.
