The fourth edition, first published earlier the same year. Lacking the original dust wrapper. Gaudy Night is the tenth novel to feature Lord Peter Wimsey, and the third to feature Harriet Vane. The work takes place at Vane's former Oxford College, following a number of criminal acts. By Dorothy Sayers, noted crime writer and one of the Queens of Crime, alongside notable others such as Agatha Christie and Ngaio Marsh.

Condition

In the original black cloth binding. Externally very smart with slight bumping to the extremities. Slightly cocked. Handling marks to boards. Contemporary ink inscription to front free endpaper. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with marginal age toning due to paper used.
