What Our Customers Say...

Description

Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

David Herbert Lawrence (1885-1930) was an English writer and poet, known for controversy caused by the sexual nature of his work, which at the end of his life was misunderstood, leading him to undertake self-imposed exile. His best know work was 'Lady Chatterley's Lover', which was banned in many Western countries due to its obscenity.

Penned by Jessie Chambers, Lawrence's first girlfriend and an encourager of his writing talents; she was portrayed in his famous work 'Sons and Lovers'.

An uncommon work complete with a smart dust wrapper.

A first edition.
