1934 The Nine Tailors
What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding
The first edition, first impression of crime writer and poet Dorothy L. Sayers's classic mystery novel.
With an illustrated frontispiece.
Set in the Lincolnshire Fens, the novel follows a group of bell-ringers at the local parish church. Widely considered her best work and finest literary achievement, the novel has received minor criticism regarding inaccurate campanology details.
Sayers was a prolific author of crime fiction during the Golden Age of Detective Fiction, and one of the 'Queens of Crime', alongside notable others such as Agatha Christie and Ngaio Marsh.
A smart copy of Sayers' finest literary achievement.
