American scout Frederick Russell Burnham shares stories of war, scouting, and expeditions in this interesting autobiography. With eight plates to the rear. In this remarkable autobiography, Burnham describes how he learnt to from native Americans and some of the last cowboys to hunt game and support himself as a teen. Known for his service to the British South African Company, Burnham also shares stories of Rhodesia where he befriended Baden-Powell and helped him found the international Scouting movement.

Condition

In the publisher's original blue cloth binding. Externally, smart. Lightly rubbed to the spine and the joints with some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. A little worn towards the extremities. Rear hinge starting, but firm. Internally, generally firmly bound, with the gutter visible at pages 26 to 27, 74 to 75, and 90 to 91. Pages lightly age-toned but bright and clean throughout.
