Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
The scarce 1952 edition published in the Sportsman's Book Club. A selection of golf writings by popular golfer Bernard Darwin, who was one of Charles Darwin's grandsons, a golfer, and prolific golf writer. He is part of the World Golf Hall of Fame.
With unclipped dustwrapper.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally smart, with slight shelfwear and bumping to head and tail of spine. Cloth and gilt to spine have slightly darkened. Signed by a previous owner to front pastedown, dated 1954. Dustwrapper is sound with chipping and closed tears to spine and extremities, as well as slight puncture marks. Unclipped. Slight sunning to spine of wrapper. Internally, firmly bound. MInor faint spotting to fore edge, affecting only the occasional page, particularly to first and last few leaves.
