Illustrated with twenty two plates, eleven of which are in colour, and maps and diagrams throughout. Collated, complete.

C. T. Atkinson was a historian who was the preeminent tutor for British military history at the University of Oxford. 

The Royal Dragoons was a heavy cavalry regiment of the British Army.

With gilt to the front board and spine.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, very smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The hinges are slightly strained. There is slight spotting to the fore edge. Internally, generally firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean.
