A charming illustrated edition of the tales of the Arabian Nights.
The tales included in this volume are 'The Enchanted Horse', 'The Fisherman and the Genie', 'Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves', 'Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp', 'Prince Ahmed and the Fairy Perie Banou', 'Sindbad the Sailor', and 'Codadad and His Brothers'.
Illustrated with a colour frontispiece, one pop-up colour panorama, one colour plate, and monochrome in-text illustrations throughout.
Most of the illustrations are by Harry George Theaker, who produced stained glass and proflicily contributed to children's publications.

Condition
In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding with paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart, a little rubbed. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Some light marks to the boards and spine. Spine is a little faded. A small patch of loss of paper to the rear board. Front hinge is starting but firm. Front endpaper is adhered to the front paste down. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with some scattered spots, heavier to the first and last few pages.
