An entertaining work of equestrian fiction written by G. E. Collins, author of a number of hunting novels, and who has nicknamed himself "Nimrod Junior" after the mighty hunter.

'An Undistinguished Sportsman' tells the story of Bob Birkett, "a humble follower of the Sport of Kings", referring to the age-old sporting endeavours of horse racing and fox hunting.

This copy belonging to historian and author, Terence R. Leach, with his pictorial bookplate to the front paste down.

Condition

Bound in the publisher's cloth, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent, with minor shelf wear only. Lacking front free endpaper. Bookplate to front paste down. Dust wrapper is very smart, with light edge wear and sunning to the spine. Label to the spine of the wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Tear to page 17, not affecting text.
