This is numbered 50 of 50 copies printed. 

Stephen Vincent Benet was a noted American poet, short story writer and novelist. His narrative poem of the American Civil War 'John Brown's Body' won him the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry. 

This poem was first delivered on Alumni Day, May 6 1933 on the occasion of the presentation of Brigadier-General Stephen Vincent Benet to the University of Georgia.  Preceding the poem there is a brief biography of Brigadier Benet.

Condition

In the original half morocco binding. Externally, very smart. Minor shelfwear to the head and tail of spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
