Both copies are first edition, with the first volume published in 1934 and the second in 1935.
Sir Roger Keyes was a British naval officer and was heavily involved in the organisation of the Dardanelles Campaign during the First World War. These volumes contain his naval memoirs.
The first volume covers The Narrow Seas to the Dardanelles, 1910-1915 and has sixteen plates and twelve maps, five of which are folding.
The second volume covers Scapa Flow and the Dover Straits 1916-1918 and has twelve plates and twenty four maps and diagrams, thirteen of which are folding.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart. A previous owner inscription to both front free endpapers. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
