An early edition of The Waters of Africa Being the Further Adventures of Trader Horn in half calf binding and cloth boards.

By Alfred Aloysius Horn, better known as 'Trader Horn', an ivory trader in central Africa.

Edited by Ethelreda Lewis. 

A scarce edition published as part of 'The Life and Letters Series' of which this is number 28. With only four editions held in libraries. 

Gifted as a prize book, with a prize book plate to the first pastedown from 1936.

Illustrated with a monochrome plate as the frontispiece and a map. Collated, complete.

Condition

In half calf binding and cloth boards. Externally, very smart. There is some minor rubbing to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with some light spotting and light age toning.
