An impressive near complete photographic history of the First World War, from the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand to a roll of honour of some of those fallen. 

Many of the pictures shown were published for the first time in this work, and capture the midst of the War's conflicts. Edited by American playwright, journalist, novelist and photographer, Laurence Stallings.

With additional contexts of the photos to the rear of the work. 

In the publisher's original cloth binding.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. Externally, with bumping to the extremities and marks to the boards. Front hinge very weak, but board is still firmly attached. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
