Lytton Strachey was an English writer and critic, awarded with the James Tait Black Memorial Prize in 1921 for his biography Queen Victoria. He is best known for establishing a new form of biography, to which he introduced a psychological insight.
This book is the first appreciation to his work since his death in 1932 and the first in the 'Fen series,' which is stated in the rear wrap has three titles and "other titles in preparation."

In the publisher's original unclipped green paper wraps. Externally, very smart with minor shelfwear. Spine is slightly age toned. Internally, firmly bound. Faint spotting to first and last few leaves, as well as edges, affecting the odd page. Otherwise, pages are generally clean.
