An uncommon work documenting the explorer's travels in Africa. Gatty was an author and filmmaker who travelled extensively in Africa in the early twentieth century.
With sixty one illustrations on monochrome plates. Collated, complete.
Prior owner's ink inscription to the first free endpaper dated 1946.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, very smart. There is some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. There is some light marking to the boards. Prior owner's ink inscription to the first free endpaper dated 1946. There is some light spotting to the fore edge. Internally, generally firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with some light age toning.
