One of Dodgson's younger friends, Evelyn Hatch, introduces the book with reminiscences of their time together. A first edition of this work, in the original unclipped dust wrapper.
In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Lightly bumped to the head and tail of the spine with some marginal wear to the extremities. Wrap has a few marks to the front, and a couple of small closed tears to the head of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Aside from some foxing to the endpapers, pages are bright and clean.
